What Happens If I Set My Trigger Too Light?

A trigger that is set too light may result in unsafe conditions such as hammer follow or unintended multiple discharges. Hammer follow occurs when the hammer fails to properly recock and follows the bolt carrier forward without firing the next round. Autofire can occur when the hammer recocks but releases as the bolt carrier closes, potentially firing more than one round per trigger pull.
