If your TriggerTech AR Safety will not engage or disengage properly, the issue is typically related to the interaction between the safety selector, trigger system, or lower receiver tolerances.
First, ensure the firearm is unloaded and safe to work on.
Verify that both the trigger and safety selector were installed according to their respective installation instructions. During installation, the safety selector should be installed before fully tightening any trigger retention or snug-down hardware, if applicable. Proper alignment between the trigger system and safety selector is important for reliable operation.
It is also important to confirm that the hammer is in the cocked position when attempting to engage the safety, as most AR-style safeties will not engage with the hammer forward.
If the issue persists after reinstalling and verifying alignment, please contact TriggerTech Support with details regarding your lower receiver, trigger model, and safety configuration, and we would be happy to assist further.
