On Glock Gen 5 frames, Glock introduced a small plastic tab at the rear of the frame near the backplate interface. This is one of the primary differences between Gen 5 and earlier Gen 1–4 frames.
When installing the TriggerTech ACE Trigger System, the disconnect module does not utilize the same rear opening geometry as the OEM Gen 5 configuration. As a result, this plastic tab will interfere with proper slide fitment.
This tab is considered a non-critical plastic feature intended to mask the opening associated with the Gen 5 backplate design. Removal of the tab will be required for proper compatibility and slide installation with all versions of the ACE Trigger System.
Please ensure all installation work is performed safely and in accordance with the appropriate TriggerTech installation manual. If you are uncomfortable performing any modification, we strongly recommend consulting a qualified gunsmith.
If you have any questions regarding compatibility or installation, please contact TriggerTech support for assistance.
