Removing or Replacing the Bolt Release

The Remington 700/Model 7 bolt release on our triggers is removable. To remove it, you will need a #10 Torx screwdriver and a small flat tool to assist with removing the e-clip.

1. Use the #10 Torx screwdriver to remove the screw that holds the safety lever and bolt release mechanism in place.

2. Carefully remove the e-clip that secures the bolt release mechanism using a flat tool.

3. Remove the bolt release mechanism from the trigger assembly.

4. Reinsert the e-clip, Torx screw and safety lever on the trigger.
